Frostbitten Henchmen, Re-equipped
With toy runs that never could give us some of our basic classic heroes, good henchmen were a rarity, but how could the villians of Gotham city carry out their schemes and pose a real threat to the dynamic duo without trusted underlings at their sides? Kenner's 1997 Batman and Robin gave us an exceptionally satisfying henchman for Mr. Freeze. With a cold and menacing mask, the hockey-pad armored Frostbite was the leader of those who attacked the caped crusaders on the ice with hockey sticks. I came across, not one, but three of his figures in the bargain bin of the flea market, natrually without any accessories. Fortunately, I thought of Frostbite without his hocky stick while walking the aisled at Dollar Tree and saw not only bright orange hockey sticks hanging from the pegs of the doll section, but also skis and snowboards.
